The oft-rumored 'Slim PS3' is back in the news today, this time being confirmed by sources talking to Arstechnica.

The undisclosed source says that the slimmed down PS3 unit is not rumor, but in fact real, and should hit stores in either August or September. The source also says the rumored PSP Go! is real too, and will be announced next week during the E3 event.

The new PS3 will not be announced next week, but at a later point when current PS3 stock is almost fully sold off.

I don't know why they would be so secretive about a slimmer version. It's not like it's groundbreaking technology. They did have the slim PS2, even the original playstation had a smaller PSONE version.

Its to small. way to small to be a slim. Looks like someone took the face of the ps3 off lol.

no way everything like the hard drive, motherboard, and disc reader could fit.

I don't get all of the secrecy either.
